that’s how it seems like it should be in most relationships. friendships, romances, family, anything. 

if only it were that simple!

lately i’ve been realizing that i’ve been contributing so much of myself to certain relationships in my life, and it seems as if i’m not receiving much in return. i dont want to be the kind of person who calculates each and everything she does for someone and expects something in return, but i dont want to be part of a one sided relationship, where im the one doing all of the work. which raises this question:

how much is too much?
